Symposium Information
  1. Who should attend the Symposium?
    This international symposium is directed primarily towards academics, private physicians and researchers involved in breast cancer in medical, surgical, gynecologic, and radiation oncology, as well as other health care professionals.

  1. When can I view the full daily schedule on-line?
    The detailed program schedule will be available in August.

  2. Have there been any future dates selected at this time?
    Future Dates are as follows:

    December 9 - 12, 2010
    December 7 - 10, 2011
    December 4 - 8, 2012

  1. Can I get financial assistance to attend the Symposium?
    Yes, there are several opportunities available for financial assistance in the form of scholarships:

    -SABCS Clinical Scholars: For Clinical scientists-in-training who are actively pursuing clinical or clinical/translational research in breast cancer.

    -SABCS Basic Science Scholars: For laboratory-based investigators-in-training whose work focuses on the biology of breast cancer and preclinical models of its development and progression.

    -Avon Foundation-AACR International Scholars: For abstract presenters traveling from countries with emerging economies.

    -AACR Translational Research Scholars,funded by Susan G. Komen for the Cure™: For presenters of highly-rated abstracts focused on translational breast cancer research.

    -AACR Minority Scholars,funded by Susan G. Komen for the Cure™: For abstract presenters working within the United States and within minority groups that have been defined by the National Cancer Institute as being traditionally underrepresented in cancer and biomedical research including African Americans, Alaskan Natives, Hispanics, Native Americans, and Native Pacific Islanders.

    Eligibility Requirements
    -Must be a graduate student, medical student or resident, or clinical or postdoctoral fellow at an official training program in an academic institution.
    -Must provide certification of “in-training” status from program director.
    -Must be the presenting author of an abstract accepted for presentation at the 32nd Annual SABCS.
    -Must submit the application with the abstract.
    -Must register for and attend the symposium, and present the accepted abstract.

Abstract Submission
  1. How can I make corrections after submitting my abstract?
    You may make corrections by doing so before the June 16 deadline. The incorrect abstract may be withdrawn and resubmitted without additional charge. Please click here for more information.

    After the deadline, if you discover an error that must be corrected, notify Marathon Multimedia by fax at (507) 334-0126 or by email to pburrage@marathonmultimedia.com

    Note: You will be charged $25 each time you do so. Cut-off date for corrections is July 31, 2009.

Housing Instructions
  1. Will SABCS make hotel arrangements for me or is there a housing facility?
    SABCS does not make hotel arrangements for individuals. You can your hotel arrangements with Ambassadors, LLC, the Official Housing Bureau of SABCS. Contact information is available at SABCS housing.

  1. Food & Beverage at the Symposium
    Registration fees include continental breakfast at morning poster sessions, hors d’oeuvres & beverages at evening poster sessions.

    Lunch meal tickets for SABCS will not be offered this year. Lunch options which can be purchased onsite will be available at the Food Court and
    concession stands.
