Dear Supporters and Friends:
The 33rd Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium will take place December 8-12, 2010, at the Henry B. Gonzalez
Convention Center.
UT Health Science Center San Antonio, Baylor College of Medicine and American Association for Cancer Research take great pride in
presenting this year’s SABCS.
As exciting strides are made in the field of breast cancer research & treatment our program continues to present essential up-to-the minute
information combined with engrossing discussion for basic, translational and clinical cancer research professionals.
The pre-symposium educational sessions now offer triple the number of sessions introduced in 2008. The final day Year In Review
first offered in 2009, in which leading authorities discuss the year’s breast cancer research findings, was a resounding success.
Lunchtime forums are planned to provoke lively discussion. The line-up of major awards and prestigious lectures, which was
expanded in 2008, continues. The 2010 symposium is certain to engage breast cancer research professionals from all over the world.
Patient benefit is the ultimate outcome not only of the symposium itself but also post-symposium resources, such as the SABCS
webcast, which disseminate information worldwide. Our supporters make all of this possible, for which we are sincerely grateful.
This year’s Prospectus offers new opportunities for sponsorship and exhibits. We hope that those of you who have supported SABCS
in the past will continue to do so at the same or even higher level. If you are thinking of joining us for the first time we hope that you
will find in this Prospectus a level of participation that is comfortable to you and of mutual benefit to us all.
For many years the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation, our local patient advocate organization, has organized funding for a patient advocate scholarship at SABCS. Please refer to
Patient Advocates should you be interested in supporting this very worthwhile and productive program.
We invite you to contact Rich Markow, Director, Symposia, at 1 210-450-1558 or MARKOW@uthscsa.edu regarding any questions.
We look forward to hearing from you very soon.
Sincerely,
